Presenting: our new Culloden & Ardersier Church logo!

You can see our new logo at the top of this page. We’ve spent a lot of time as church recently exploring the fivefold gifts of apostle, prophet, evangelist, shepherd and teacher (often known as APEST) as they can be seen at work within the church, and exploring what these are for. Paul writes this:

So Christ himself gave the apostles, the prophets, the evangelists, the pastors and teachers, to equip his people for works of service, so that the body of Christ may be built up until we all reach unity in the faith and in the knowledge of the Son of God and become mature, attaining to the whole measure of the fullness of Christ. Eph. 4:11-13

At an all-age service a few months ago, we spent some time exploring APEST and ‘mapping’ our ministry and mission on to it. One of our members drew five overlapping circles as a way of representing all five being needed, each one impacting and supporting the other. This is part of our story as God's people here. The image has since been developed to become part of our new church logo.

As a leadership team, we have been thinking and praying about what it looks like for all five of these gifts to be enabled and at work across all of our ministry and mission.

Why do we want this? By Jesus' Spirit, these gifts released and at work in the church build us up towards the beautiful vision of the church as mature and united, "attaining to the whole measure of the fullness of Christ". Paul describes what this looks like:

...speaking the truth in love, we will grow to become in every respect the mature body of him who is the head, that is, Christ. From him the whole body, joined and held together by every supporting ligament, grows and builds itself up in love, as each part does its work. Eph. 4:15-16

We are Culloden & Ardersier Parish, a congregation with two physical locations: Barn Church and Ardersier Church. By worshipping God as Father, Son and Holy Spirit, we want to know Jesus so that we can make Him known. Jesus is our vision!
