Listening Prayer
Listening for God's word, reflecting, and praying through a Bible passage.
Runs fortnightly at The Barn on Saturdays from 8.00a.m - 9.00a.m.

Sunday Morning Prayer
We pray every Sunday Morning before the service at 9.55am. Please see our Sundays page for more information.
Special Collection
The 4th Quarter collection from October to December will be for Christmas Hamper Appeal. Donations can be placed in the collection box marked 'Christmas Hammper Appeal', given to our treasurer, dropped off at the office, or sent via bank transfer marked 'Christmas Hamper Appeal'
Our Special Collection for Quarter 3 raised £100 for Adopt-A-Child
Fasting and Praying: Communion and Shared Meal
Following our service on Sunday 27th focused on fasting and praying, there is an opportunity to join together with others from our congregation for a 24 hour period of fasting and prayer. The fast will begin at 7pm on Friday 13th November and will continue until 7pm on Saturday 14th, at which point we will gather in Barn Church to break our fast together with communion and a simple shared meal.
If you join us for the fast, you are encouraged to come along on Saturday morning from 8-9am to our listening prayer time as it will give opportunity to pray together. There will also be some simple written guidance provided in advance, and we will have a WhatsApp group for anyone who would like to remain in communication during the 24 hours. This last idea has proven very helpful for those of our leadership who have already been fasting and praying together.
You are invited to join us (though please only do so if you do not have a medical condition that might mean it is unwise). There will be a sign up sheet available on Sunday mornings, or you can speak with Pamela or Issy directly to be added to the list.
Please do sign up as soon as you are able to allow for planning. An email address and mobile phone number would be particularly useful (especially if you would like to join a WhatsApp group).

LightNight
Sunday 1st November, 4.30-6.30pm, Barn Church Community Garden. Join us for this free, light-focused alternative to Hallowe'en, taking place in the beautifully illuminated community garden. There will be a lantern-making craft, hot chocolate and popcorn and a light trail for everyone to enjoy, as well as a goodie bag for children of all ages to take away. This is a great opportunity to invite friends and neighbours along. Drop in any time from 4.30-6.30pm and leave any time.
Songs of Praise
Ardersier Church Monthly at 6.30pm. Refreshments afterwards.

Small Groups
Our small groups have resumed. Why not come along? Let's get to know one another better.
Please note there is no small groups on Wednesday 14th October, resuming on 21st October.
Exchange Hub
First Wednesday of each month. Tea/coffee/hot chocolate served.
We have games and worship music, or just come along and sit and chat, and bring your own craft if you wish.
Pop in for just 10 mins or stay for the whole evening.
Worship and Prayer Night
Monthly starts 7.00pm with refreshments from 6.30pm.

Youth Afternoons
Fortnightly on Sundays from 12.30-2.30pm.
Our youth time is moving from Monday evenings to Sunday afternoons and will now take place in the Barn church building to accommodate additional young people. We will always begin with food (sometimes coinciding with church lunches and sometimes the usual fayre of pizza). There will be options after food to allow for Bible study and activities. Ice Cream Sunday/aes
Takes place on the 4th Sunday of each month.
On 25 October we will be down at Ardersier Church, 2-4.00pm
Join us for these monthly afternoons for families in our community and in our church. The whole family is invited (and that includes our wider church family)! There will be crafts, games, a Bible story and songs all aimed at children from toddler - end P7 age. Everyone is welcome to join in. There will then be ice cream for everyone of every age. Tea and Co.
Enjoy a cuppa, a biscuit and good conversation, and this is for everyone of all ages. Why not bring a friend along? No need though - you’ll make plenty of friends here.
Volunteering Opportunites
We are very grateful for all our volunteers who help to run every thing smoothly. There are some volunteering opportunities below.
Creche
Our Sunday Morning at The Barn creche is up and running. We are still looking for volunteers to go on the rota.
Don’t worry about missing the service as you will be able to watch on the creche room screen. If you are interested in serving please speak to Elsie Maclean after the service or telephone her on 07786 354437.
Church Lunches
We are having a monthly church lunch at The Barn after our all-age services 1st Sunday of the Month. All welcome.

Blythswood Prayer Diary
The 2026 Shoebox appeal is well under way. If you can help with donating any item this would be appreciated. There is a box and list of items required in the Hall of Friendship.
There is also a box for items to be donated to the Highland foodbank.
